The Dolphins have served up a varied performances this year so the jury's out on if this is the beginning of something, but for Buffalo they'll need an immediate bounce-back in a tough game against the Buccaneers next week as the New England are sneaking into a nice lead at the top of the AFC East

The Colts also play the Chiefs, and have the Seahawks, San Francisco and two games with the five and four Jaguars to contend with. There is a long way to go but the opportunity is open for a shock number one position in the American Football Conference

Both squads with strong arguments to be better than all of the three different 8-2 sides are National Football Conference West rivals the Seahawks and Los Angeles, who each scored forty points to go to 7-2 ahead of next week's major game between the pair in LA

Both have won four in a consecutive games, have quarterbacks in Stafford and Sam Darnold playing at an elite level (although Darnold had ball security problems on Sunday) with excellent pass catchers, and defenses giving up under 20 points a game

Each could realistically be undefeated as too - particularly the Rams as their pair of losses occurred in extra time against the San Francisco and then that painful defeat in Philadelphia when they had a potentially winning kick with the final play blocked and returned by the Philadelphia for a score

The Seahawks were also defeated to the 49ers, with a last-minute score in week one, before falling to the final play of the game against the Buccaneers - so they are truly two of the top teams in the league

The upcoming game on Sunday could be the best of the year so far
